The Hawkbill knife or Pruner knife, unlike most pocket knives, is named for the shape of its blade rather than its handle. This knife has a distinctive blade with very specific, yet very different uses. The inward curving cutting edge enables it to easily capture and cut rounded objects such as small branches, fruit stems, or rope. This unique shape also allows deep, controlled cuts on flat. Hawkbell definition is - a small hollow spherical bell containing a free pellet and often attached to a hawk's leg. A decade of rich history and
a fast growing community
A decade ago, “Pixhawk” was a student project at ETH Zurich. Little did the team know that it would end up having such a large influence on the drone industry. During this time, the team created MAVLink, Pixhawk, PX4, and QGroundcontrol — which are today’s most used standards for flight control hardware and autopilot software in the drone industry. This was the beginning of a story of a very successful open source project outperforming individual corporate development.
Pixhawk is the defacto standard for those who build the ubiquitous autonomous systems that will support a better world for humanity.
